Cristiano Ronaldo was accused of smashing a fan’s phone after Manchester United went down 1-0 to Everton on Saturday. However, the 37-year-old has issued a statement calling it a prank.
“It’s never easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments such as the one we are facing. Nevertheless, we always have a plan B, call it a prank” Ronaldo wrote on his Instagram.
The fan was just taking the pictures of his favourite team as it was heading for the tunnel at Goodison park that irked Cristiano Ronaldo who them smashed his phone. However, after calming down after around fifteen minutes, Ronaldo apologised and gifted the fan a new iPhone. Ronaldo called it a prank.
This isn’t the first time, Cristiano Ronaldo had surprises a kid on a Madrid’s street in 2015 when he pulled out a prank which went viral on social media. While this time his PR agency took a lot of time to arrange a new iPhone to call it a prank.
