Due to time constraints, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma couldn’t meet many Pakistani fans and players who were waiting to meet them.
Cricket being a game that unites India and Pakistan, the ICC has decided to reduce the match to 10 overs each side so that players from both the sides get enough time to meet and greet each other.
“In their last meeting in the 2021 T20 World Cup at the same venue, Virat Kohli was seen happily talking to Pakistani players until he was asked to leave the stadium. To ensure that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma get enough time the match has been reduced to 10 overs each side” said ICC Chief.
